SIRE – BRAVEHEART OF STERN

Braveheart of Stern needs no introduction, a famous NZ bull
who has been widely used within New Zealand and Australia
and has bred consistently well for so many Stud breeders, he
really leaves his stamp on bulls and heifers alike. Braveheart
was a phenomenal success at the Stern sale in 2012 with
over 60 sons averaging $11,000 and seven sons selling over
$30,000. Sired by Highlander of Stern and from a double bred
Stern Fitzpatrick cow, Braveheart is a New Zealand sensation.
He was also a great success at the 2018 Kaharau Sale. The
top price was a Braveheart son, sold to Rangatira and Turiroa
Studs-Kaharau Outlander 16-632 for $95,000 and another son
Kaharau George 16-539 sold to Atahua Angus for $50,000.Six
sons sold averaging $36,600.
Braveheart leaves moderate, deep, meaty, strong and well
balanced progeny. We have 16 sons in the Sale this year.

SIRE – TAIMATE LAZARUS 15-L12

Paul Hickman believes Taimate Lazarus L12 is possibly the best
bull ever bred at Taimate. He has outstanding phenotype and
EBVs to match. Standing on very good feet and legs, Lazarus
is well set up, moves freely and has a perfect temperament. His
strong head leads into a beautiful carcase with width and a good
spine. Lazarus is very soft fleshing with real depth in the flank.
He boldly stands like a sire and has great presence.
Lazarus is breeding superbly, his first crop of bulls were sold at
the 2019 Taimate Angus sale with Lot 3 selling for $85,000 to
Turihaua Angus, Gisborne.
Kaharau is very pleased to have used Taimate Lazarus L12 AI
in 2017 and 2018. At the 2020 Kaharau Sale, a Lazarus son 18-
343 went for our top price of $50,000 to Blackridge Angus. We
have 9 sons in the Sale.
