Welcome to the 11th annual Stern Yearling Sale.
We thought last year’s yearlings presented very well but this year’s are arguably a notch up again! The top bulls
will be in excess of 550kg .
Our leading sire Te Mania 16463 has certainly left his mark! These are attractive cattle with exceptional heifer
mating credentials! New blood also comes from Lazarus who’s in the top 10% for calving ease, fertility and the
Self Replacing Index. There are also numerous bulls by Braveheart sons and grandsons that have the fleshing
we expect from the stalwart of the breed.
The catalogue is full of quality carcase EBVs too: EMAs up to 6.9, Fats up to +2.4 and IMF up to 2.2!
These bulls were drafted in autumn on their low Birth Weight and positive Calving Ease EBVs. They are from a
huge drop of 337 bull calves and provide some very good stud and commercial heifer and cow breeding options.
