Conditions of Sale
All Bulls will be sold subject to the Hawke’s Bay Stock and Station Agents Association’s Conditions of Sale.
Every lot will be at the risk of the purchaser from the fall of the hammer.

Every effort will be taken by the vendors, Auctioneers, their staff and assistants, both on the day of the sale as well as on
any other visits of inspection to ensure the safety of intending buyers and visitors. However, we wish to advise that this is
a farm run under normal management conditions and certain dangers exist in relation to livestock and their environ-
ment. Visitors should take all care to ensure their personal safety.
Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1992 we are required to advise people of possible
hazards:
Cattle Movements (cattle can be unpredictable, especially towards children)
Work Vehicles (cattle yards, slippery surfaces, uneven ground, tiered seating)
EVERY BULL GUARANTEED TO BREED
The entry of any bull in this catalogue constitutes a guarantee by the vendor that the purchase price without interest,
expenses, cost or damages shall be refunded if a bull proves infertile or incapable of service. Any dispute shall be
settled by an arbitrator appointed by the auctioneers. Any complaint must be lodged with the auctioneers in writing
within six calendar months from the date of sale. A veterinary surgeons certificate shall be produced by the purchaser
when required
HEALTH STATUS Accredited TB and Brucellosis Free Herd.
BVD all bulls have been tested free and vaccinated.
All bulls catalogued are either pedigree clean of NH, AM, CA and DD or tested free, unless otherwise indicated.
INSURANCE Purchasers are strongly advised to insure all bulls prior to transit. Representatives from FMG
will be on site to assist you with your insurance needs. The terms of this contract include loss of use by accident and
inclusion of loss of use through illness. If no insurance is required Elgin Angus will take all care of your purchases, but
no responsibility, until delivery.
PURCHASING REBATE All intending purchasers are required to register at the sales office prior to the
sale. A purchasing rebate of 6% will then be paid to non-participating livestock companies and recognised independent
livestock agents with approved credit facilities introducing and/or accompanying buyers to the sale.
COMMISSION Generous overriding Commission will be paid to non-participating companies who introduce
buyers to the sale
DELIVERY All Bulls will be delivered free of charge to the Purchaser’s property (North Island).
AT THE FALL OF THE HAMMER EACH LOT SHALL BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE PURCHASER, WHO WILL THEN TAKE ALL
RESPONSIBILITY.
ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO THE SALE AND SETTLEMENT MADE ON THE PURCHASER’S BEHALF WITHIN
14 DAYS.
