COMPLETENESS OF RECORDING:

The NZ Angus Association has instigated a programme where herds are given a classification based on the amount
of performance recording records/events they do to contribute to making up their EBVs. Points are allocated for the
amount of performance recording, and then converted to a star rating with a five star being the highest. This is derived
from a five year rolling average of all weights, scans etc. Fossil Creek Angus is among a few herds to have attained the
5 star rating hence indicating a very high level of excellence in recording, thus giving a higher degree of surety to our
clients that are buying and using our genetics.

SAFETY:

At Fossil Creek we are committed to doing everything practically possible to ensure the safety of staff and visitors.
Within the sale area or while with Fossil Creek personnel, please follow instructions and observe signage. Out of the
ordinary hazards will be pointed out. PLEASE take full care and pay attention to your surroundings at all times! Expect
normal farming hazards e.g. large animals, uneven/slippery surfaces and electric fences. If venturing further on the
farm then visitors or individuals must be accompanied by Fossil Creek staff or have completed a visitor’s checklist with
management.
Visitors to Fossil Creek must:
• Know where they are permitted to go/not go.
• Tell someone where they are going and when they are coming back
• Know where the nearest telephone is
• Know who to call in an emergency
• Report any incidents/concerns to Fossil Creek Management as soon as possible
• Fossil Creek takes no responsibility for reckless behaviour or lack of respect of rules by visitors!
