CONDITIONS OF SALE

The New Zealand Stock & Station Agent’s Association Conditions of Sale and, to the extent deemed
relevant by PGG Wrightson Limited (PGW), PGW’s Terms of Sale apply to this sale. When proceeds are
credited or a purchase is debited to a PGW monthly credit account, then PGW’s Monthly Account Terms
of Trade (as amended from time to time) apply to the extent deemed relevant by PGW. These terms
can be inspected at the registration desk and on the wall in the auction room. The current versions of
PGW’s Terms of Sale and Monthly Account Terms of Trade are also available online at:

GUARANTEE

Stern guarantees the fertility and feet on all bulls offered for sale.
The guarantee is limited to the purchase price of the bull and is backed by a replacement policy, if a
suitable bull is available, or by a credit made available to the purchaser against further purchases. The
value excludes interest, expenses, costs or damages.
The purchaser shall provide a vet certificate if required to the vendor and shall return the bull to the
vendor.

The guarantee covers loss of fertility, other than by accident, illness or disease and reduces by one third
for each seasons use.
In the case where a Transfer has been given with the bull a claim must be lodged within twelve months
of sale.
Any disputes shall be settled by the auctioneers.

PURCHASING REBATE COMMISSION

All intending purchasers must register at the sales office prior to the sale.

PGW will pay a purchasing rebate of 6% of the purchase price excluding GST, plus GST, to livestock
companies & recognised independent livestock agents with a PGW account who have introduced
buyers to PGW before the sale and/or accompanied buyers to the sale.

SEMEN INTERESTS

Stern retains all export semen rights and the right to use semen within our herd on all bulls unless
otherwise stated. All such collection costs are to the vendors account.

TRANSPORT

All commercial bulls will be delivered free of charge to the purchaser’s regional saleyards in the South
Island and to Feilding for North Island clients. Clients taking up deferred payment options will be
invoiced freight charges.
GRAZING

The Vendor by arrangement will graze bulls purchased at the sale free of charge for a period of
one month. Thereafter transport costs to the purchaser’s property will be the responsibility of the
purchaser.

TRANSFERS - Bulls selected for transfer will be noted on sale day.
BRUCELLOSIS AND T.B.

The Stern Herd is accredited Brucellosis and T.B. free. South Canterbury is a T.B. free area.

GENETIC TESTS - All bulls are tested free or are Pedigree free of CA, AM, NH and DD.
